Chua Ah Seng

[Dummy content for preview purposes.] Ah Seng has had the same table at the corner coffee shop on Telok Blangah Crescent for thirty-one years — not officially, nobody reserves a table at a coffee shop, but everyone who's been coming long enough just knows.

He talks about the neighbourhood the way some people talk about family: fondly, a little critically, and always in the present tense, as if it hasn't finished happening yet.
